Connecting communities through cultural programming,
urban interventions and active engagement.
Client: City of Garden Grove
Project Time Frame: 2013 - Present
Event Dates: Sunday, October 12, 2014, 11 am - 4 pm
As the overall strategist and project manager, Community Arts Resources (CARS) assembled a top-notch team to complete the full scope of marketing, communications and outreach for this groundbreaking event in Orange County. With the City’s goal of “Bringing the Downtown of the Future into the Present”, CARS created an identity for the event that allowed Garden Grovers to physically visualize the potential activation and vibrancy of their community. As a grassroots initiative by the City of Garden Grove, CARS continued to engage stakeholders through door-to-door, on-the-ground outreach, hosting community meetings and involving local, community representatives in the planning process. In addition, CARS oversaw the development and implementation of marketing collateral elements, (post cards, posters, flyers, programs, etc.) and ensured the identity’s print and digital presence.
